HYLOT would develop innovative hydrogen liquefaction technologies for scale up and commercialization. A lot of new ideas are required to increase the capacity of current hydrogen liquefaction technologies up to 275 ton/day. HYLOT plans to set up lab-scale as well as pilot scale hydrogen liquefaction plants based on the KENTECH LH2 license in the coming years. The KENTECH LH2 license would reach the full scale plant in order to apply for Shinan green hydrogen project, a domestic mega green hydrogen project HYLOT is waiting for your creative and open ideas to achieve our research goals.
HYLOT would explore alternative hydrogen storage technologies, such as ammonia and methanol production processes. Development of new ammonia and methanol production technologies can be successfully applied to future hydrogen storage technology roadmap. HYLOT will build a lab-scale ammonia and methanol facilities for student’s education and new technology development in the coming years.
HYLOT would focus on the optimization of hydrogen value chain combination, in terms of technologies. The hydrogen value chain consists of green & blue hydrogen production, hydrogen supply (storage and transportation), and hydrogen utilization. HYLOT would investigate the optimal combination of commercialised technologies in the hydrogen value chain that can contribute to hydrogen industry, in terms of projects economics as well as feasibility.
